About these terms
These terms apply when you use bluecollaroptics.com or buy from Blue Collar Optics, 14829 Bellaire Blvd, Suite 9A, Houston, TX 77083 (“we”, “us”). By placing an order you agree to them. Please also read our privacy policy and our shipping & returns policy, which are part of these terms.
Orders and prices
Prices are in U.S. dollars. The price you pay for a frame is shown at checkout. Prescription lenses are quoted separately after our optician reviews your prescription, and they are made only after you confirm the lens price.
An order is accepted when we confirm it. We may cancel an order and refund you in full if an item is unavailable, a price was shown in error, or we cannot fill your prescription safely. We ship to U.S. addresses only.
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number. Sales tax is added where the law requires it.
Your prescription
Prescription lenses require a valid, unexpired prescription from a licensed eye doctor. You are responsible for sending an accurate, current prescription. We may contact your eye doctor to verify it, and we may decline an order if it is unclear, expired or cannot be verified.
We do not perform eye exams or give medical advice. If you have eye pain, headaches or blurred vision with new eyewear, stop wearing it and see your eye doctor.
Safety eyewear
Frames and lenses are rated to ANSI Z87.1 only when the product page or your order says so, and only as supplied and assembled by us. Altering, re-lensing elsewhere or damaging the eyewear can void that rating.
- Check that the eyewear meets your employer’s and your job site’s safety requirements before you rely on it.
- Replace safety eyewear that has taken a hard impact, even if it looks undamaged.
- Lenses fitted in Ray-Ban Meta or other non-safety frames are not safety eyewear and must not be worn as protective eyewear.
Shipping, returns and warranty
Shipping times and costs, frame returns, prescription lens remakes and warranty coverage are set out in our shipping & returns policy. In short: frames can be returned within 14 days if unused, prescription lenses are made to order and not refundable but are remade at no cost if we made them incorrectly, and frames and lenses carry a 90-day warranty against manufacturing defects. For help with an existing purchase, include the name and email you used at checkout.
Limits of our responsibility
Apart from the 90-day warranty and any rights the law gives you that cannot be waived, our products are provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to a product is limited to the amount you paid for that product, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
Images and trademarks
Some product images are illustrative and may differ from the actual product in color and finish; ask us for real photos before you order. Ray-Ban, Meta, Armourx and other brand names belong to their respective owners. Blue Collar Optics is not affiliated with or endorsed by Ray-Ban or Meta. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, unless the law gives you the right to bring it elsewhere. Before going to court, please contact us; most problems can be solved with a message.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version posted here, with the date at the top, applies to orders placed after that date.
