Send it now
Attach a photo or PDF, and include the name and email you used at checkout so we can match it to your order. Prescriptions go to Orders@opticaloutsource.com.
Haven't ordered yet? You can send it first. We will tell you what your lenses will cost before you commit.
What your prescription should show
A glasses prescription from your eye doctor usually includes:
- Your name and the date of the exam
- SPH, CYL and AXIS for each eye (OD is the right eye, OS is the left)
- ADD, if you wear bifocals or progressives
- The doctor's name and signature or clinic details
- PD (pupillary distance), if your doctor wrote it down
Missing PD, or not sure something is there? Send what you have. Our optician will tell you if anything else is needed.
A contact lens prescription is not the same thing and can't be used for glasses.
Taking a clear photo
- Lay the prescription flat, in good light, without a flash glare
- Keep all four corners in the frame
- Check that every number is sharp and readable before you send it
- A PDF or a screenshot from your doctor's patient portal works too
What happens next
Our optician checks every value on your prescription, then contacts you on WhatsApp with the price of your prescription lenses. Nothing is made until you confirm. Once it is, your pair ships in 2–4 days.
